Last Updated: June 29, 2026
1. Acceptance of These Terms
These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of www.adcocksystems.com (the “Website”), operated by Adcock’s Systems, LLC (“Adcock,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), an Altus Fire & Life Safety company. By accessing or using the Website, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Website.
2. Use of the Website
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Website for your own informational and business purposes. You agree not to:
- use the Website in any way that violates applicable law or regulation;
- copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from the Website except as expressly permitted;
- attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Website, its servers, or related systems;
- introduce viruses, malware, or other harmful code, or interfere with the Website’s operation;
- use any automated means to scrape, harvest, or collect information from the Website; or
- use the Website to transmit unsolicited or unauthorized advertising or communications.
3. Intellectual Property
The Website and its contents — including text, graphics, logos, images, and software — are owned by or licensed to Adcock and are protected by intellectual property laws. The Adcock and Altus Fire & Life Safety names and logos are trademarks of their respective owners and may not be used without prior written permission.
4. Quote Requests and Submissions
Forms on the Website (including quote and contact requests) allow you to send us information. You agree that the information you submit is accurate and that you are authorized to provide it. Submitting a request does not create a contract for services, and no service relationship is formed until set out in a separate written agreement signed by Adcock.
5. No Service Agreement; Information Only
The Website provides general information about Adcock and its services. Nothing on the Website constitutes professional, engineering, code-compliance, or life-safety advice, or an offer or commitment to perform work. Any products, installations, inspections, monitoring, or services Adcock provides are governed exclusively by the separate written agreement between you and Adcock, and not by these Terms.
6. Third-Party Links and Content
The Website may contain links to third-party websites and resources that we do not control. We provide these links for convenience only and are not responsible for the content, products, or practices of any third party. Your use of third-party websites is at your own risk and subject to their terms.
7. Disclaimers
THE WEBSITE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE WEBSITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE, OR THAT INFORMATION ON IT IS ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR CURRENT.
8. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ADCOCK AND ITS AFFILIATES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THE WEBSITE.
This limitation applies to your use of the Website only. It does not limit, expand, or otherwise affect the rights, obligations, warranties, or liabilities of any party under a separate written service agreement, which are governed solely by that agreement.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Adcock, its affiliates, and their respective officers, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Website or your violation of these Terms.
10. Privacy
Your use of the Website is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and disclose information and the choices and rights available to you.
11. Changes to the Website and These Terms
We may modify or discontinue the Website, and we may revise these Terms, at any time. When we revise these Terms, we will update the “Last Updated” date above. Your continued use of the Website after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
12. Governing Law and Venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Subject to Section 13, you agree that any action arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Website will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Charles County, Maryland, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
13. Dispute Resolution; Arbitration
Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Website that cannot be resolved informally will be resolved by binding arbitration administered in Maryland under the rules of a recognized arbitration provider, rather than in court, except that either party may bring an individual claim in small-claims court. You and Adcock agree that each may bring claims against the other only in an individual capacity and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class or representative proceeding. If this class-action waiver is found unenforceable, the remainder of this Section will be void but the rest of these Terms will remain in effect.
14. Miscellaneous
If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of it. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Adcock regarding the Website and supersede any prior agreements regarding the Website.
